SafeLand/SafeGulf Basic OrienTation 8 - 10 Hour Course -  3 Person minimum

PEC Basic Orientation is the most widely used safety orientation in the US onshore and offshore E&P Industry. Accredited by both SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf, this 8 hour safety orientation can give your employees both credentials.
In a comprehensive 1 day instructor led format, Basic Orientation meets API RP 75 & API RP T-1 requirements and provides a basic understanding of general safety information at an awareness orientation level. Upon completion of the course, all students are issued a PEC ID card with their name, company name, picture, bar code, and completed course. All students are automatically entered into PEC’s Training Tracker where your company’s clients and auditors can view proof of employee orientation.

PREREQUISITES: There are no prerequisites for this course.

TARGET AUDIENCE: An essential course for any employee that is new to the O&G and Petrochem industry that will consistently be working in plant, dockside, onshore or offshore facilities. This is required for any employee of a company that does exploration, production, drilling and/or refining work for any of the leading operators.

The PEC Job Safety Analysis training program takes a hands-on approach in educating your employees, using various real life situations to engage the students and promotes looking at the larger picture when planning their tasks. This J.S.A. training program requires all students to participate and become involved in every aspect of completing an effective J.S.A., which helps ensure a valid understanding of the process and how detail oriented they need to be when developing their Job Safety Analysis on the job.
This training program will also help your employees understand there will be times when we need to involve others and ask questions when something is not quite understood. It will help clarify the understanding that at times we NEED to STOP a job due to a lack of understanding or other safety related issues and ask questions with out fear of reprisal or reprimand.

PEC Basic Intro to Pipeline

PEC Safety, in conjunction with Veriforce, created Basic Intro to PEC Pipeline Course, an orientation module which can be used to enhance PEC Basic Orientation, Basic/10, or Core Compliance. This module is customized for workers in the Midstream/Pipeline segment of the Oil & Gas Industry. Basic Intro to PEC Pipeline Course is available to anyone that has already completed PEC Basic Orientation, Basic/10, or Core Compliance class.

PREREQUSITE
Student must have completed one of the following PEC Basic Orientation, Basic / 10, or PEC Core Compliance. Proof can be provided by possessing a valid PEC Photo ID Card or by verifying training at www.peccard.com . Students PEC ID Number will be needed to complete this course.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION

Methods of instruction include but are not limited to, lecture, videos, and power point presentation. Each student will be required to take a written test at the end of the course.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of Basic Intro to Pipeline, the student will have general knowledge of Pipeline history, regulatory standards “PHMSA, DOT”, and Safety Concerns when working on or around pipelines.

Any student caught cheating during written testing will be immediately removed from the class and our specified contact will be notified immediately.

ManLift Training - 4 hour
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This Aerial Manlift Training course was designed to cover the current safety training requirements found in the OSHA standard and ANSI regarding Aerial Platforms and Mobile Scaffolding “Scissor Lift”.
METHOD OF INSTRUCTION
Methods of instruction include but are not limited to, lecture, power point presentation, video and case studies of various fatal accidents. Each student will be required to take a written test and complete a hands-on vehicle inspection and driving proficiency test.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
To implement safe operating practices and awareness of safe operating procedures to reduce or eliminate equipment related incidents and accidents. To increase overall knowledge of Aerial Lift / Boom Lift operating principles.

4 Hour Class Room Session: Est. 20 mins per student per Aerial Lift for hands-on portion. This time includes hands-on vehicle maintenance inspection.

TESTING &GRADING PLAN
Grading and testing procedures will strictly follow 365 Safety Training requirements.  Each Student must pass the written test with a passing grade of 80% or better. Should a student fail the written or hands-on portion of the test that student will be required to retake the course.  Hands-on portion is graded by ability to function controls in a smooth and controlled manner and to its full ability. It is the responsibility of the Instructor to identify any function performed by the student in a failing capacity can work that that student to correct his/her actions until performed correctly.  Students will be immediately disqualified should they display any unsafe behaviors while operating the equipment and the specified contact will be notified immediately. “Horse Play, Inappropriate operations”Any student caught cheating during written testing will be immediately removed from the class and our specified contact will be notified immediately.

ForkLift Training - 4 hour

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This compliant OSHA forklift training course was designed to cover the current safety training requirements found in the OSHA standard regarding Powered Industrial Trucks. The training is intended to cover forklift safety rules and regulations for all types and classifications of Powered Industrial trucks. The purpose of this training is to help you become a qualified Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) operator — an operator who has the knowledge and skills to operate a Powered Industrial Truck in a safe and professional manner.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION

Methods of instruction include but are not limited to, lecture, power point presentation, video and case studies of various fatal accidents. Each student will be required to take a written test and complete a hands-on vehicle inspection and driving proficiency test.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
To implement safe operating practices and awareness of safe operating procedures to reduce or eliminate forklift related incidents and accidents. To increase overall knowledge of forklift operating principles.

COURSE TOPICS/UNITS AND DATES
4 Hour Class Room Session: Est. 20 – 45 mins. per student per forklift for hands-on portion. This time includes hands-on vehicle maintenance inspection and is highly based on the students experience level on the equipment being operated.
Powered Industrial Truck Knowledge-you will learn about:

Powered Industrial Truck refueling and recharging.
Operating Skills-You will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience operating a Powered Industrial Truck. For the hands-on evaluation, we will use each type of lift the employee will operate i.e Class 2 and/or Class 5. The student will be evaluated while completing an obstacle course, driving in both forward and reverse. Several maneuvers must be completed properly and safely to pass this portion of the class.

TESTING & GRADING PLAN
Grading and testing procedures will strictly follow 365 Safety Training requirements. Each Student must pass each of the tests with a passing grade of 80% or better. Should a student fail the written or hands-on portion of the test that student will be required to retake the course.Hands-on portion is graded by maneuvers, with each maneuver have a possible 3/3 score. The student starts the course with a perfect score of 24/24 and for each cone hit a minimum of 1 point is deducted with a minimum passing score of 20/24 points equaling 80%.Students will be immediately disqualified should they display any unsafe behaviors while operating the equipment and the specified contact will be notified immediately.Any student caught cheating during any tests will be immediately removed from the class and our specified contact will be notified immediately.
